Sr. Josephine Okwori became a member of the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul in January 1987. Since then, she has acquired valuable expertise and experience in issues concerning children living on the streets. Below are some of her obtained certifications and trainings attended:

(1) National Diploma in Community Development from the University of Benin.

(2) Degree in Adult Education University of Benin.

(3) De Paul University-Values Centered Leadership

(4) St Leo University -Hilton Grant Programme  Certificate On Human Trafficking.

(5)  St Leo University- Certificate Of Project Management.

(6) Two years training in Formation of Young People from the Institute for Formators, Jos, Plateau State.

(7) Training in Pastoral Care of the Youth, Enugu, Enugu State.

(8) Has worked with the disadvantaged Girls in Women Development Centre in Umunede, Delta State.

(9) Has worked with Prisoners in Ikot Ekpene and Abak Prisons respectively
She is a trained street worker as well.

(10) She has worked in the Formation House of the Daughters of Charity for several years.

(11) She has been sent on mission to Children in Street Situation and physically challenged Children, in Ghana, twice. Within these years, she has as well worked on empowerment of women living in rural areas.

Presently, she is the Project Co-ordinator of De Marillac Center in Port Harcourt.
