August at De Marillac Centre: A Month of Learning, Growth and Meaningful Experiences
The month of August was another remarkable period of learning, growth, engagement, and memorable experiences at De Marillac Centre. As we continue our mission of providing care, protection, education, rehabilitation, and opportunities for vulnerable children, the month presented several activities that contributed to the emotional, social, educational, and personal development of the children in our care.
Throughout August, the children participated in a variety of programmes and activities that encouraged creativity, teamwork, discipline, confidence, and positive interaction. These experiences provided more than recreation; they created opportunities for the children to discover their abilities, develop new skills, build meaningful relationships, and gain valuable lessons that will support their journey towards a brighter and more independent future.
One of the highlights of the month was the participation of some of our children in the Red Cross Camp, where they had the opportunity to learn important values and practical skills while interacting with other children. The camp provided an environment for learning, friendship, personal development, and social engagement outside the Centre.
August also provided opportunities for continued education, holiday activities, awareness programmes, and other initiatives aimed at strengthening the well-being and development of the children. At De Marillac Centre, we believe that every child deserves an environment where they can feel safe, valued, supported, and empowered to dream again.
