A Day of Impact and Inspiration
De Marillac Centre was honored to welcome Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, a well-known philanthropist, governorship aspirant, and founder of the Dumo Lulu-Briggs Youth Foundation, during his recent visit to our facility. His presence brought excitement, encouragement, and renewed hope to the children and staff alike. This visit was not just ceremonial it was deeply meaningful.
Who is Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs?

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs is a prominent figure in Rivers State, celebrated for his unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes. Through the Dumo Lulu-Briggs Youth Foundation, he has supported healthcare, education, and empowerment projects across the state. His commitment to social justice and community development makes him a beacon of hope for many vulnerable populations.
As a governorship aspirant, he brings a vision of inclusive development, with a strong focus on the welfare of underserved communities, especially children and young people.
His Visit to De Marillac Centre
During the visit, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs interacted warmly with the children, listened to their stories, and encouraged them to remain hopeful and determined.

A Generous Contribution
Moved by the stories of transformation and resilience, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs made a generous donation to support the ongoing rehabilitation and reintegration programs at the Centre, gave Bags of Rice, Beans, Garri, Noodles, toiletries and also gave cash donations to the children. His gesture will go a long way in helping us provide shelter, education, counseling, and vocational training to the children in our facility.


He also pledged future collaboration through his Foundation, aiming to support our long-term sustainability and expansion.
Shared Mission, Shared Vision
Both the Dumo Lulu-Briggs Youth Foundation and De Marillac Centre share a mission: to uplift the vulnerable and restore dignity to lives often forgotten. This visit marked the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful partnership to improve the lives of street children in Rivers State and beyond.
